Remind me again why music shouldn't be in public school?

I randomly found this video on youtube and thought it was pretty amazing. Great title, great song. Man I don't remember my music classes ever being like this. Its sad to see how schools could ever get rid of the art classes or PE classes. It doesn't seem like schools realize that there is much more behind what is taught in music classes, just look at those kids. They get to learn fundamentals, timing, motor skills, team work, being able to express themselves! Watch those kids getting into the music, you can't see that kind of energy in a math or science class that is for sure!

HERE is there website if you want to keep up on these kids.

" I work with the PS22 chorus, an incredible bunch of NYC public school 5th graders! The chorus has performed all over New York, and have gained quite a following on the internet, particularly with Tori Amos fans. They've sung with Tori, Crowded House, Judy Torres, Lena, and have also performed for Marcia Gay Harden, Matthew Modine, CNN's Paula Zahn, Senator Charles Schumer, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The PS22 Chorus was formed in the year 2000. We are an ever-changing group of 5th graders from a public elementary school in New York City, NOT a school for the arts or a magnet program. " - said by the Instructor of the class.

Here is another great song by them. "Jóga" by Björk
